In the Derby della Mole, the two goalkeepers were pivotal in the match that resulted in another dismal tie for Luciano Spalletti’s Juventus team. This time, the match was played against Torino, who are city rivals.

Within a few seconds of the restart, Simeone was able to put the ball in the back of the net; however, this was only after he had strayed offside on the Cesare Casadei assist that allowed him to beat Di Gregorio in a one-on-one match.
After Thuram had attempted to pass through for Kenan Yildiz, a desperate sliding tackle by Ardian Ismajli in the penalty area prevented Juventus goal from being scored.
After Simeone’s header was diverted, substitute Che Adams was unable to direct a header on target at the back post. Shortly after that, Simeone’s header was sent directly at Di Gregorio.
Adams made a cut inside Koopmeiners, and his powerful low shot was brilliantly pushed over the bar by Di Gregorio with one hand. Torino was significantly increasing the amount of pressure they were applying in the second half.
Paleari again rushed off his line to narrow the angle as Yildiz threaded through for Jonathan David. After that, he produced an outstanding reaction save on the McKennie bullet header that was coming from Edon Zhegrova’s cross.
Yildiz’s shot was deflected off target, and David was unable to bundle it over the line on the corner that resulted from the incident. Kristjan Asllani’s shot went just inches over the bar from the edge of the box.
An attempt by Lois Openda to curl the ball was deflected wide off Marcus Pedersen during stoppages, but the officials failed to notice the deflection.
