Atalanta on Monday sacked Croatian boss Ivan Juric after Sunday’s 3-0 home defeat to 8th-placed Sassuolo left usual Serie A high-fliers La Dea 13th in the league on 13 points from 11 matches.
Atalanta had also lost their previous game at Udinese.
“Atalanta BC announces that Ivan Jurić has been relieved of his duties as First Team Coach, along with his closest collaborators, namely Matteo Paro, Miguel Veloso, Paolo Barbero, Stjepan Ostojić, and Michele Orecchio. Atalanta BC thanks Ivan Jurić and his staff for their dedication and wishes them all the best for the future.”
Official statement from Atalanta
Juric, 50, had previously coached Genoa, Hellas Verona, Torino, AS Roma and Southampton.
