Jonathan David redeemed himself from last week’s mistake by contributing a goal and an assist, leading Juventus to a decisive victory over Sassuolo, alongside efforts from Fabio Miretti and a Tarik Muharemovic own goal.

Kenan Yildiz challenged Sebastian Walukiewicz, delivering a powerful strike at the near post that put Arijanet Muric in a tough spot. Andrea Cambiaso followed up, sending the rebound into the side-netting, and shortly after, Khephren Thuram also put the goalkeeper to the test.

Juventus gained the advantage through a stroke of fortune, as Muric found himself off his line and unable to recover when Tarik Muharemovic inadvertently redirected the Pierre Kalulu cross from the right into his own goal.

Weston McKennie also tested Muric’s gloves at the near post, as did Yildiz with a curling shot from the edge of the area.

Sassuolo suffered the loss of Kristian Thorstvedt to a shoulder injury after his clash with Koopmeiners, yet the pressure remained relentless as Yildiz compelled Muric to make a challenging save with a powerful shot from a difficult angle.

Muric thwarted Thuram at the near post following a swift passing sequence that included David and Cambiaso. Subsequently, Fabio Miretti sent a shot over the bar while off balance from 12 yards after a roll across from David.

Juventus ultimately showcased their dominance as a long ball from Michele Di Gregorio was deftly knocked down, allowing Miretti to break free, outpacing two defenders to slot the ball past the advancing Muric.

Shortly thereafter, Sassuolo found themselves rattled and conceded a third goal. David seized the opportunity presented by Jay Idzes’ weak back-pass, skillfully maneuvering around Muric while maintaining his composure to outsmart Sebastian Walukiewicz, who had returned to defend the line. The entire Juventus bench rushed to celebrate with the Canadian, countering rumors about his lack of connection with his teammates, marking his first Serie A goal in 16 games.

There was almost a fourth goal following another mistake by Sassuolo in the box, but this time David shot over the bar.

In the final six minutes, Di Gregorio was finally called into action, first making a save on the Nicholas Pierini free kick that curved around the wall, followed by a stop on the Luca Lipani cross-shot.
