According to Foot Mercato, during the upcoming international break, PSG sporting director Luis Campos will meet with the agent of Napoli forward Victor Osimhen.
Osimhen is having his most successful season to date. In just 29 games this season, he has contributed five assists and 25 goals to Napoli. Many of Europe’s elite have taken notice of his form, and with his contract set to expire in 2025, he is now one of the most desirable forwards in all of football.
While Osimhen could stay at Napoli, PSG, Manchester United, and Chelsea are all interested in luring him away from Italy. Aurelio De Laurentiis, president of Napoli, reportedly wants €150 million for a player who cost Lille OSC €80 million in 2020.
That asking price might be challenging for PSG to meet given their financial fair play restrictions. Campos, whose future at PSG is uncertain, is scheduled to meet with Osimhen’s support group during the break in international play. Despite the cost, Les Parisiens are very interested in the player, and Campos is familiar with Osimhen’s agents.
Manchester United, who are also interested in Harry Kane and Kolo Muani, would be more willing to pay Napoli’s asking price, and Chelsea is also a contender.
Osimhen himself is reportedly concerned that joining PSG would hurt his chances of quickly realising his dream of playing in the Premier League.
