Napoli’s winless streak continued with an unexpected 2-0 loss to Bologna, where Thijs Dallinga and Jhon Lucumi played pivotal roles.

Bologna faced a challenging beginning when Lukasz Skorupski suffered an injury during a goal kick. With Ravaglia also unavailable, the team turned to 17-year-old Massimo Pessina, granting him his Serie A debut.

Rasmus Hojlund’s solo effort was deflected over the bar, while Jhon Lucumi headed just wide from a favorable position during a corner kick.

For Napoli on the 32nd minute, Vanja Milinkovic-Savic executed his first significant save, diving to deflect Jonathan Rowe’s long-range shot around the base of the post.

Thijs Dallinga sent a free header past the near post, and shortly after, Rowe sustained an injury that necessitated his substitution at half-time.

Bologna gained the advantage when substitute Nicolò Cambiaghi made a run down the left flank and delivered a pull-back from the by-line for Dallinga, who managed to flick it in at the near post from six yards, outpacing Amir Rrahmani.

Orsolini challenged Milinkovic-Savic at the near post with a daring volley, while Hojlund pushed the limits with a reaction foul on Lewis Ferguson that could have easily warranted more than just a yellow card.

Bologna extended their advantage over Napoli when Emil Holm delivered a cross from the right following a free kick, connecting with Lucumi for a header from six yards out, marking his inaugural Serie A goal.

Noa Lang entered the match as a substitute and had his pull-back from the by-line deflected onto the base of the upright, while David Neres made a crucial defensive block to stop Juan Miranda from tapping in the Federico Bernardeschi assist at the far post.
