Nico Paz scored one goal and provided an assist as Cesc Fabregas and Como defeated Lazio 2-0, marking a strong start to the season.

Jacobo Ramon shot wide from a difficult angle, Nico Paz struck over from the edge of the area during a corner kick routine, and Mario Gila made a brilliant sliding tackle to prevent Nico Paz inside the penalty area from scoring.

Mergim Vojvoda’s half-volley from outside the box tested Ivan Provedel’s reflexes, while Matteo Guendouzi’s weak finish missed a strong first touch from Matteo Cancellieri.

Taty Castellanos failed to turn when Maxi Perrone pressured him, but Nuno Tavares managed to evade two defenders and passed the ball forward.

Nico Paz collected the ball inside his own half, turned Nuno Tavares, and played a through ball to Douvikas, who dodged Mario Gila and shot one-on-one with Provedel, giving Como the lead at the start of the second half.

After a poor clearance by Manuel Lazzari, Da Cunha’s chest and volley came close to the near top corner, nearly making it 2-0 for Como shortly after.

Vojvoda curled another shot just over the crossbar, while Castellanos missed a Mattia Zaccagni cross from seven yards out.

When Castellanos received a long ball from Mario Gila and beat Jean Butez one-on-one in the 64th minute, Lazio had the ball in the net.

However, Gianluca Manganiello confirmed via microphone that Castellanos was offside.

Instead of allowing Provedel a chance, Nico Paz doubled Como’s lead with a breathtaking free kick that curved around the wall and found the near top corner.

After beating a defender, Vojvoda continued to pose a threat but struck the crossbar, while Provedel rushed out to save a powerful shot from Da Cunha, keeping the score at 2-0.
