Fiorentina 3-1 Verona: Kean score hat-trick and secure easy win over Verona

With a spectacular hat-trick, Moise Kean gave Fiorentina their sixth straight Serie A win.

For Fiorentina, Lucas Beltran threaded a through pass for Moise Kean to hold off Giangiacomo Magnani and glide the finish past Lorenzo Montipò from 10 yards out, breaking the tie in less than four minutes. The Italian international scored in his third straight league game.

Darko Lazovic sent a dangerous cross that Casper Tentgstedt had to paw off his feet, but the Fiorentina goalie barely had time to react before Suat Serdar tied the score for Verona with a right-footed screamer into the near top corner.

After the restart, Andrea Colpani’s long-range shot went inches wide, and Yacine Adli’s free kick put Montipò to the test at the near post.

Once more, Fiorentina took the lead thanks to Kean, who managed to hold off Magnani long enough to lift his leg and volley from five yards out in an Adli corner with an impressive finish.

Beltran’s shot forced a hard save from the edge of the box, and Montipò parried the Colpani effort before Riccardo Sottil turned the rebound over.

When Christian Kouame stole Ondrej Duda in midfield and pulled out the goalkeeper on minute 83, Kean should have completed his hat-trick to seal the victory, but the Italian miraculously blasted over an empty net from 12 yards out.

Domagoj Bradaric left for Hellas with what looked like a fractured nose after an accidental run-in with Kean, and the Italian’s angled drive was also off target.

Kean finished his hat-trick in stoppages by cutting inside the defender and driving the inside of his right boot into the far bottom corner as he sprinted onto the long David De Gea ball.
