Dusan Vlahovic showed he still has plenty to offer at Juventus, who defeated Parma in spite of Andrea Cambiaso’s red card, and Jonathan David scored in his Serie A debut.
After an early flicked-on long throw produced commotion at the back post, Mathias Lovik attempted a tap-in, but Andrea Cambiaso made a critical save.
Zion Suzuki had to flap Francisco Conceicao’s diving header over the bar at the other end after it had regrettably bounced off the turf.

When David removed the Conceicao cross off Kenan Yildiz’s foot in a far better position, there was a communication breakdown.
In a similar scenario, Bremer and Khephren Thuram collided as they attempted to grab onto a cross from Andrea Cambiaso at the back post.
On the eve of halftime, Pierre Kalulu was playing an uncommon wide right role, and a number of teammates just missed his cross.
Immediately following the restart, Bremer produced an incredible save by putting himself in the way of Mateo Pellegrino’s six-yard tap-in after a pull-back from Pontus Almqvist.
Conceicao was unfortunate when his attempt from the edge of the area was deflected off Lamine Keita and banged the base of the upright. Federico Gatti blasted just over, and Kenan Yildiz twisted a right-foot finish just past the far post.
On the ensuing corner, David prodded home with the outside of his right boot from five yards out after Kenan Yildiz twisted and spun down the left to roll across after a last-ditch interception by Lautaro Valenti halted the David flick. It was Juventus’ first-ever Canadian goal.
The close-range Almqvist cross barely missed Pellegrino’s head, but Suzuki made a hard stop to keep Kenan Yildiz’s control and fierce half-volley out of the near bottom corner.
Due to Andrea Cambiaso’s possibly severe straight red card for a response foul on Lovik, Juventus was reduced to ten men.
Shortly afterward, though, they increased their lead when Vlahovic launched a counterattack and joined forces with Kenan Yildiz, scoring tap in the right return pass.
Michele Di Gregorio flew to palm away Adrian Bernabé’s scorcher as Parma attempted to surge back, but Juventus managed to keep the scoreless record.
