Napoli will meet with the agent of Victor Osimhen to discuss the possibility of a new contract, but it has been reported that Paris Saint-Germain are prepared to make an offer worth €150 million.
Osimhen was already signed from LOSC for more than €70 million, and since arriving at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, he has been going from strength to strength.
Osimhen has been assured by President Aurelio De Laurentiis that a verbal agreement has been reached to extend his contract until June 2027; however, President Aurelio De Laurentiis has sent mixed messages, warning that an offer that they cannot refuse must be considered even if he has assured Osimhen that a verbal agreement has been reached.
Alfredo Pedulla from Sportitalia, believes that a bid for that player could very well come from Paris Saint-Germain, and that offer, when factoring in performance-related bonuses, would surpass the €150 million threshold.
Even the competition in the Premier League would be no match for this, as Manchester United and Chelsea do not appear to be particularly interested in bidding more than €100 million.
Taking into account the fact that the Nigerian national team player is only 24 years old and won the Capocannoniere award this season after scoring 26 goals in 32 Serie A appearances in addition to five goals in six matches in the Champions League, that simply wouldn’t be sufficient to make Napoli wobble.
Regardless, the first thing that will happen is that Napoli will discuss the situation with Osimhen’s agent.
