Federico Dimarco and a last-minute goal from Marcus Thuram secured a victory for Cristian Chivu against his former club Parma, allowing Inter to extend their lead over Napoli to four points.
Edoardo Corvi soared to deflect a strike from Yann Bisseck at the edge of the area, sending the ball crashing onto the top of the crossbar after 14 minutes.

Lautaro Martinez and Francesco Pio Esposito both sent headers just over the bar from promising positions, while Parma came close to taking the lead when Jakob Ondrejka’s acrobatic volley struck the back post following Emanuele Valeri’s cross.
Inter soon struck the frame of the goal again, as Pio Esposito volleyed from 12 yards following a cross from the left by Petar Sucic.
The offside flag was raised as Federico Dimarco managed to slot a finish past Corvi at the near post from an incredibly tight angle using his right foot. However, VAR confirmed that the goal was valid, crediting Esposito with the assist.
Enrico Delprato nodded a Lautaro Valenti free kick over the bar, while Corvi thwarted Sucic’s attempt for a second Inter goal from a challenging angle following a Bisseck assist.

A strong shot from Henrikh Mkhitaryan went directly to Corvi, but Sucic truly missed an opportunity to score when he broke the offside trap from Lautaro Martinez’s pass, only to fire wide in a one-on-one situation with the goalkeeper.
Inter believed they had extended their advantage late into stoppage time with Ange-Yoan Bonny, who outmaneuvered Corvi in a one-on-one situation following a lay-off from Nicolò Barella. Nonetheless, it was ruled out after the VAR review due to the handling offense by Thuram in the build-up.
As soon as play resumed following that decision, Inter found the net once more, with Thuram making a run onto a ball played over the top, catching Nahuel Estevez and Corvi off guard.
