Ricci formally joins Milan from Torino on a four-year contract with a 2030 option.

Today, Samuele Ricci officially joined Milan as a new player.

The Milan management has been considering the Italian midfielder for a while, and on Thursday, the 23-year-old formally put pen to paper by leaving Torino.

The announcement on the website of the Rossoneri reads:

“Milan is delighted to announce the permanent signing of Samuele Ricci from Torino FC. The Italian midfielder has signed a contract with the Club lasting until 30 June 2029 with an option in the Club’s favour for an extension until 30 June 2030.  

“Born in Pontedera on 21 August 2001, Samuele came through Empoli’s Youth Sector before making his senior debut for the Club in September 2019, going on to make 91 appearances and score three goals. In January 2022, he moved to Torino, with whom he made 113 appearances and scored four goals. 

“Ricci, having progressed through the Italy youth system, made his senior international debut in June 2022 and has earned ten caps to date. 

“Samuele Ricci has chosen the number 4 jersey.”

He is now officially Milan’s first summer acquisition. The Rossoneri paid €23 million for Ricci, plus €1.5 million in bonuses and 10% of any future sales proceeds.
