At UEFA Champions league group stage, Milan secured important win against Slovan Bratislava with goals from Pulisic, Leao and Abraham
Chukwueze began to run down the right, effortlessly passing three or four Slovan players before collapsing on the box’s edge. The referee did not find anything incorrect with the tackle from one of the Slovan defenders, despite his plea for a penalty.
Hernandez used his powerful left foot to swipe at the set-plece, but even though his shot cleared the wall, it missed the mark. He ought to have made the goalie fight for it and performed better from that distance.
Strelec found a wonderful throughball as Slovan suddenly pushed forward on the counter. He sprinted brilliantly, slipped past Maignan with ease, and attempted a close-range finish to find the back of the net, but was stopped by a diving block from Pavlovic just in front of goal.
Pulisic gave Milan a 1-0 lead. The forwards outstanding start leads to an early goal. After gaining possession of the ball within the Slovan half, Abraham raced a little and skillfully delivered it to Pulisic, who was onside and had only the goalie in front of him. Without panicking, the American entered the box and effortlessly pushed it past Takac into the lower-left corner.
It was Slovan who had struck right back! This season, Barseghyan was their key man, and he performed admirably in this crucial match! As Slovan raced on the counterattack, Milan lost the ball cheaply and lacked defensive strength. Savvidis finds Barseghyan, who gently tips it past the keeper to equalize after running with it and having just Maignan to beat.
Slovan was able to launch a counterattack down the right after Fofana threw the ball cheaply just outside the box. But Milan regains possession after Hemandez deftly intercepts a crossing ball. This time, the visitors advance down the right flank of their own.
Hernandez attempted to reach the tall Abraham by swinging in a crossover from the right. Abraham, however, barely avoids another cross since he was unable to make the delivery in time.
After a fortunate deflection, Pulisic wins the ball down the right, sprints with it, and pulls It retreated within the box. Slovan easily cleared their lines, though, as none of his colleagues closed enough to get the ball.
Before Abraham could meet a long ball, Takac sprinted off his line to grab it. After entering the box, Leao attempted to skip past a few players at the other end, but he lost the ball with relative ease. However, Milan was able to get the ball back when Slovan was unable to hold it for more than a few seconds.
After his curling left-footed attempt from inside the box towards the top corner deflected behind, Chukwueze won a corner. Slovan easily avoided the danger after the ensuing corner kick was badly performed. Shortly after, Takac gathered after Leao nearly collided with the ball in the box’s danger area but was unable to control it.
Milan got another goal in the bag from Leao. Once again, Slovan lost it easily in midfield, and Milan launched a counter attack. Leao, who was onside, was unmarked when Fofana played it quietly and wonderfully, and he sent it past the goalie and into the back of the net. The goal Barseghyan scored for Slovan was a lot like that. Once more, the defense left in ruins. Milan won 2-1.
After Abraham scored it 3-1, Milan was cruising ahead. It was a true gift. Ignorant of Abraham’s presence, Strelec played the ball backed into his box. Abraham comfortably increased the lead after meeting the ball and putting it past a defenseless Takac.
After the free kick went behind the Milan wall, Slovan eamed a corner. Slovan had a second chance after Hernandez pushed the initial corner behind him. Milan easily cleared their lines as Slovan was unable to capitalize on the second effort down the right.
Marcelli went down the left with the ball after Tomori lost it cheaply. Tomori, however, made up for his previous error by doing a fantastic job of stopping Marcelli in his tracks, giving his team a goal kick.
The 19-year-old Marcelli scored a scorching goal, but Slovan wasn’t done yet. Before a diving Maignan, he received the ball deep outside the area and slammed it off his left foot towards the top-left comer. There was nothing the keeper could have done. That hit was amazing. 3-2.
