Milan won the game in Venice thanks to the early goal by Christian Pulisic and Santi Gimenez.

From a distance, the winger can choose his spot and slip the ball past the goalie. Milan has an early lead thanks to Pulisic’s tenth goal of the year. After falling under Hernandez’s challenge, Zerbin believes he should have been awarded a free kick, but the referee lets play go on and AC Milan regains control.

The referee waves play on after Hernandez’s cross finds Leao, who drives into the penalty area and is challenged by Schingtienne.
The winger moves over to grab the comer after Pulisic’s strike deflects over the crossbar. Pavlovic receives the winger’s delivery and, thinking his shot struck a Venezia defender’s hand, asks for a penalty. However, play goes on without a penalty.
After falling under Pavlovic’s challenge, Yeboah is the next to call for a penalty, but the referee is once more unwilling to point to the spot.
After AC Milan regains possession of the ball in midfield, Abraham has an opportunity. However, the striker is unable to maintain enough effort to put the goalie to the test.
Oristanio receives a fantastic ball from Zerbin into the box, but the midfielder is unable to get his header on target.
Gimenez is unable to get a shot off as Hernandez advances on the counterattack and slides in, but Cande recovers to block the striker.
Despite Zerbin’s incredible effort from eighteen yards out, his strike just misses the post.
In the dying moments of the game. Hernandez wins a free kick. Reijnders quickly took the free kick and delivered a long ball to Santi Gimenez who showed his quality by chipping it easily over Radu, confirming 2-0 win for Milan.
