Empoli have reportedly agreed to sell Guglielmo Vicario to Tottenham Hotspur for €20 million, and the medical examination for the goalkeeper is scheduled to take place tomorrow.
Fabrizio Romano reported that the deal is finalized, as it appeared to be the case this morning when Spurs submitted an official written offer for the player.
The transfer fee is set at €19 million, with an additional €1 million in bonuses.
During this time, Vicario is scheduled to leave within the next day and a half to travel to London for the medical exam and to sign the contract with Tottenham.
He is going to put pen to paper on a contract that will last until June of 2028.
The 26-year-old player was Inter’s first choice in the event that Manchester United made an offer for Andre Onana. There had been widespread rumors that he would be moving to Inter.
However, they were unsuccessful in their pursuit of the goalkeeper who had previously played for Udinese, Venezia, Cagliari, and Perugia.
Although he has not yet competed for Italy at the senior level, Vicario has been called up to the national team.
