After suffering an injury to Theo Hernandez, Milan was dealt another blow when Rade Krunic went down with a muscle problem and had to be substituted.
Milan were already down a significant number of players prior to this evening’s match against Udinese at San Siro, and the situation for coach Stefano Pioli only became worse as the match progressed.
When the team list was made public this evening, it was discovered that Theo Hernandez would not even be on the bench for the match. This was a surprise to everyone.
This was owing to an ankle sprain that has not yet completely healed, and it was determined not to take any risks that were not absolutely required.
Yacine Adli came in for Krunic, who had begun the game in the middle of the field, and Krunic did not return for the second half.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the Bosnian international felt some discomfort in his adductor, and as a result, he will have to undergo some tests in the coming days.
Christian Pulisic, Samuel Chukwueze, Simon Kjaer, Marco Pellegrino, Mattia Caldara, and Marco Sportiello were among the Milan players who had previously been ruled out of the match.
