According to reports, Matteo Darmian has consented to and will soon execute a new contract with Inter.
The Italian full back made a €3.3 million transfer to Inter from Parma in October 2020, initially on loan. Darmian has established himself as a valuable and tactically adaptable option since his arrival, stepping in when necessary for both Antonio Conte and Simone Inzaghi.
After several weeks of talks, the full back has decided to sign a new contract with Inter, according to Gianluca Di Marzio. The new contract is worth approximately €2.5m net per season and runs through June 2024, with an additional year’s option.
The 33-year-old Darmian has played across Inter’s backline in 20 appearances this season, making one goal and dishing out two assists.
