Midfielder Davy Klaassen, who hails from the Netherlands and currently plays for Dutch giants Ajax, is on the verge of signing with Inter.

Late in the transfer window, the Nerazzurri were reportedly interested in adding another midfielder to their team, and a number of other players’ names have been mentioned in connection with them. However, it appears that they have finally signed a new midfielder to the team.

The situation involving the midfielder has been revealed by Fabrizio Romano, who stated that Klaassen will join Inter on a free transfer and that he is already in Milan to undergo a medical with Simone Inzaghi’s team today.

Romano also stated that the player is already in Milan. The former Everton player has already agreed to terms on a two-year deal with the Italian club and has been given permission by Ajax to go to Italy and finalize the move. This comes despite speculation that the Dutch club may be willing to let Klaassen leave on a free transfer after the conclusion of his current contract.

Donny van de Beek and Tanguy Ndombele were both rumored to be moving to Inter, but the Nerazzurri were not sold on either player after reviewing their profiles.
