Inter Vs Cremonese: Match Preview And Lineups

Last Updated on 30/08/2022 by

Inter will be under pressure to beat Cremonese at the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia after their disappointing defeat at Lazio over the weekend.

After defeating Lecce and Spezia in their opening games, Inter once again failed in Rome, losing 3:1, their third loss to Lazio in four years. Inter manager Inzaghi will undoubtedly demand a strong response from his team now that they are playing at home against returning Serie A newcomers Cremonese.

Cremonese have had a difficult start to their season after making their first appearance in the top division in 26 years. They have lost all three of their opening games, including losses on the road at Fiorentina and Roma. The situation for Massimiliano Alvini’s side won’t get any simpler now that they are on the road once more.

The home team has won 36 of their last 41 league games at home since November 2020, which speaks volumes about Inter’s recent home performance. Inter has won all five of their recent Serie A games played at home including a 3:0 victory over Spezia earlier this month.

Given their impressive home record and the fact that Cremonese has lost three games in a row, it is difficult to predict anything other than an Inter victory.

Inter Milan is once again one of the top favorites to win it all after losing the Serie A championship in a tie-breaker to their city rivals last season. The team began the new campaign with two victories and one defeat, which came against Lazio over the weekend in Rome. Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Lukaku are currently out for the team, so there aren’t many injuries.

Cremonese had to wait 26 years for their arrival back in Serie A, but they are now back. Since Cremonese began the new season with three losses, albeit all by just one goal, other teams weren’t exactly friendly toward them. That might be an encouraging sign for Cremonese’s future level of competition, and their supporters are undoubtedly hoping that it is. On the plus side, Cremonese is not currently suspended or dealing with any injuries.

Possible Lineups:

Inter : Handanovic, Bastoni, De Vrij, Skriniar, Dimarco, Gagliardini, Brozovic, Barella, Dumfries, Martinez, Dzeko

Cremonese: Radu, Aiwu, Bianchetti, Vasquez, Baez, Pickel, Escalante, Valeri, Dessers, Zanimacchia, Okereke
