When Juventus hosts Bologna in Turin on Sunday night, they hope to resume their winning ways.
Juventus’ home match against Bologna, which they have won just two of their first seven league games this season, is a must-win game for them as they enter the weekend seven points behind early leaders Napoli.
Juventus were shocked by bottom-place Monza in their most recent Serie A match, and Raffaele Palladino’s team defeated the most successful team in the competition to earn their first-ever top-flight victory. Christian Gytkjaer’s goal in the 74th minute was the difference.
Bologna, on the other hand, has only won one of their 13 away games in 2022 and is winless on the road this year.
Due to his red card against Monza, Angel Di Maria will miss this match due to suspension. For the home team, injuries have kept out Paul Pogba, Federico Chiesa, Manuel Locatelli, Alex Sandro, Kaio Jorge, and Adrien Rabiot.
While the team’s leading scorer Dusan Vlahovic will be hoping to build on his strong start to the season after scoring and providing an assist for Serbia while on international duty, Arkadiusz Milik will be looking to score twice in three straight games against Bologna after bracing in his previous two showings against them for Napoli in 2016 and 2018.
With six goals in his first seven league games, Marko Arnautovic has had an explosive start to the season and currently leads the Serie A scoring charts. The former West Ham player is attempting to join Roberto Baggio in 1997 as the only players to score seven goals in the Rossoblu’s first eight Serie A games by scoring in back-to-back games against Juve.
Both Nicola Sansone and Adama Soumaoro will be out for Bologna due to injuries, and young forward Joshua Zirkzee will be hoping to get more playing time after only seeing action in 30 Serie A minutes this season.
Possible lineup for Juventus – Wojciech Szczęsny; Leonardo Bonucci, Bremer, Juan Cuadrado, Danilo; Nicolò Fagioli, Filip Kostić, Weston McKennie, Leandro Paredes; Arkadiusz Milik, Dušan Vlahović.
Possible lineup for Bologna – Łukasz Skorupski; Stefan Posch, Andrea Cambiaso, Lorenzo De Silvestri, Jhon Lucumí, Gary Medel; Jerdy Schouten, Roberto Soriano; Marko Arnautović, Musa Barrow, Riccardo Orsolini.
