With a 1-0 victory over Udinese at home on Saturday, Juventus increased their winning streak in Serie A to eight games and boosted their title hopes.

With the victory, Juventus moved into second place with 37 points after 17 games, four points behind Napoli, who will next play Sampdoria, and one point ahead of AC Milan before they host AS Roma on Sunday.

After 18 minutes, Walace of Udinese had the first opportunity of the game when he headed a cross towards Wojciech Szczesny’s right-hand post for Juve. A minute later, Daniele Rugani’s header inside the box was deflected away by the Udinese goalkeeper Marco Silvestri, who was on the road.

After 27 minutes, Juventus forward Moise Kean received a pass from Angel Di Maria and was able to get free outside the box, but he missed the goal with his shot. Despite their best efforts, neither team was able to find the back of the net during the first half

After 61 minutes, Adrien Rabiot was played through inside the box and had a chance to help Juve take the lead, but no one was able to reach his cross from close to the byline. To seal the points, Chiesa had to conjure up a moment of brilliance and set up Danilo, who fired gleefully and Juventus the much needed win.
