Lazio beat Spezia 4-0 after the international break, showing that they were fired up and ready to play.

The Biancocelesti had a strong start to the season, winning four of their first seven games while only losing one, and their momentum was unaffected by the two-week break for international duty.

In the dugout in place of the suspended Maurizio Sarri, assistant coach Giovanni Martusciello maintained the upbeat atmosphere on the field at the Stadio Olimpico.

When Ciro Immobile was fouled by Ethan Ampadu, Lazio won a penalty kick to get the game underway. However, the talismanic forward was unable to convert from 12 yards, leaving him perplexed as the ball flew over the crossbar.

Mattia Zaccagni found the opening after 12 minutes, making no mistake from only a few yards out after a good run into the box. Fortunately for the home team, this did not turn out to be a bad omen.

After 24 minutes, hometown hero Alessio Romagnoli finally scored for his boyhood team, making it 2-0 after capitalizing on a defensive blunder by Spezia’s Emil Holm.

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic completed a quick attack to end the game at 3-0 just after the hour mark, continuing his impressive start to the season. The Serbian star didn’t stop there; he added a sweet chip in the final seconds of play to complete his hat trick.

Lazio effectively managed the remainder of the second half, limiting the chances of the Aquilotti as they easily cruised to another triumph. The team hopes to maintain this momentum into their upcoming match against Sturm Graz on October 6.
