After defeating Lecce by a score of 3-0, Juventus climbed to the top of the Serie A standings.
On Sunday evening, Dusan Vlahovic was the most important player for Juventus, as he was the one who gave them the victory over Lecce in Serie A. A sloppy goal scored by Vlahovic broke the deadlock, and Juventus went on to dominate through the game and earn all three points.
With a brace from Dusan Vlahovic and a goal from Bremer later on, Juventus were able to secure all three points and send a message to Inter Milan, who are presently focusing their attention on the Italian Super Cup.
It was the home team that had the better of the openings, as Nikola Krstovic had two half chances that he was unable to convert. The first half was relatively quiet, and it rarely threatened to flare into life.
When he came on the end of a well-placed cross, his attempt to open the scoring went over the bar. His initial attempt just went wide of the post, and then his second attempt sailed over the bar.
Juve had no response when it came to breaking down Lecce’s defense in the first period, and they were frequently left dissatisfied as multiple attacks failed to succeed. This was despite the fact that Juventus held a lofty position in the league.
Juventus started the second half with a bit more purpose, and it was unfortunate that they did not grab the lead when Weston Mckennie’s header was blocked after a corner kick that was taken very effectively.
Just a few moments later, the away team would come close to scoring once more, but another header, this time from Vlahovic, would not be able to find the back of the net because he would not connect properly, causing the effort to go wide.
As soon as Vlahovic found the back of the goal, it become very evident that Juventus were gaining the upper hand, and their hard work in the final third was eventually rewarded. Juve took the lead after the Serbian forward met a hopeful cross that was delivered into the Lecce area. His shot, which was scuffed, put Juve ahead.
Due to the fact that he was in the right place at the right time, Vlahovic was able to double his total few moments later. Another header from McKennie appeared to be heading into the far corner, but Vlahovic, acting like a real poacher, made sure to put the game beyond Lecce’s reach.
A late goal scored by Bremer placed the outcome beyond any reasonable dispute.
Juventus are having a fantastic season, and they are forcing Inter to give a lot of thought to how they should approach their games from a strategic standpoint. In Italy, an intriguing title race is taking place, and both teams are well aware of what it takes to walk away victorious.
