Lecce stunned Lazio as Gabriel Strefezza and Lorenzo Colombo finished off the comeback.
In the first few minutes, Ciro Immobile broke the score by beating the offside trap on Casale’s through ball and sweeping an angled drive into the far bottom corner after A Casale header from under the bar was fingertipped by Falcone in midair. With his 189th Serie A goal, he now ranks among the top nine scorers all-time.
After being assisted by Sergej Milinkovic-dinked Savic’s volley, Immobile then volleyed over, despite having time to control it and turn. Lecce drew level after their aggressive pressing paid off; despite stopping a rising strike from Federico Di Francesco at the near post with his gloves, Provedel was helpless to stop Gabriel Strefezza’s follow-up.
As the game progressed, Lecce increased their intensity and scored a well-executed goal. Hjulmand floated a ball over the top for Di Francesco’s amazing volleyed assist from the by-line, allowing Lorenzo Colombo to tap in from four yards.
