Serie A star Marko Arnautovic is no longer the target of Manchester United.
After losing to Brighton and Hove Albion on the first day of the season, the Red Devils were rumoured to be interested in signing the 33-year-old forward from Serie A.
Then, according to numerous reports, Bologna turned down a bid of approximately €8–€9 million for the Austrian international.
The 33-year-old was targeted by United for a team that is allegedly building for the future, which infuriated the Old Trafford faithful, who expressed their outrage at the news. As a result of pressure from the fans, United has now abandoned its pursuit of Arnautovic.
Along with the player’s antics off the field and pressure from the fans, some of whom wrote the club directly to express their disapproval of their hunt for the former West Ham United player, Bologna’s asking price was one of the reasons why the deal was abandoned.
