Memphis Depay’s place in Barcelona’s lineup was always going to come under scrutiny after Robert Lewandowski joined the team.
After some great preseason efforts, Depay has fallen behind in the standings. Furthermore, Tuttosport (via Diario SPORT) reports that Juventus is interested in the forward and that he may be spending his last few nights at Camp Nou.
The former Lyon starlet has emerged as an excellent replacement for their top candidate Alvaro Morata this summer, and the Italian giants are moving quickly to sign him.
According to the source, Juventus is considering signing Memphis in a straight transfer this summer. They are open to offering the forward a two-year deal with the possibility of an additional year’s extension.
Juventus is aware that Depay will cost Barcelona €20 million. But given that Barcelona must move him this month, they are unwilling to reach the asking price if they want to sign the striker in the summer.
