Guillermo Ochoa, a goalkeeper from Mexico, has been officially signed by Salernitana on a free transfer.
The 37-year-old makes his first career move to Serie A. The contract that the Mexico captain has signed runs through the end of the current campaign, with an option to renew for one additional campaign. He will wear number 13 shirt.
Due to an injury that will keep starting goalkeeper Luigi Sepe out of action for the entire month of January, he was hired as reported earlier.
Ochoa has travelled to Europe three times total, having previously played in France and Spain. On December 31 his contract with America Mexico will expire, making him a free agent.
