In the last seconds of the match in Leipzig, Portugal defeated the Czech Republic 2-1 at Euro 2024 thanks to a goal by Francisco Conceicao.
Upon being selected for the starting lineup by Roberto Martinez, Ronaldo made history by becoming the first player to participate in six European Championships on multiple occasions for Portugal.

When the game had already beyond the half-hour mark, Bruno Fernandes of Manchester United was able to break through a resolute Czech Republic defense by delivering a magnificent ball that put Ronaldo in position to score. However, the Al-Nassr striker was unable to find a way to go past Stanek, who was sprawled out in front of him.
Then, at the stroke of halftime, Ronaldo made a threat by cutting onto his left foot and then proceeding to sting Stanek’s palms with a strong attempt.
The Selecao continued to probe and press for the all-important opener in the second quarter, despite the fact that they were unable to break the deadlock before the break.
The Czech fans, on the other hand, were the ones who were applauding a stunning long-range shot when the first goal was ultimately scored.

At the precise moment when the Czechia was beginning to believe that they had done enough to secure a point, Conceicao came off the bench to make a critical intervention in his third appearance for Portugal in international competition.
By taking advantage of Hranac’s inability to deal with a cross from Pedro Neto, the Portugal midfielder was able to score all three points in a dramatic manner by shooting the ball under Stanek.
