Real Madrid not in negotiations with Serie A star

One of the countless players linked with a summer transfer to Real Madrid is Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. The Los Blancos legend Guti is a big inspiration to the Georgian International, who has openly stated that he wants to play in Spain like him.

There are currently no talks taking place between Real Madrid and the Serie A midfielder, according to reports from Fabrizio Romano. Although Kvaratskhelia was a fan of Real Madrid as a child, it is currently unlikely that he will move to Santiago Bernabeu anytime soon.

Since moving from Dinamo Batumi, the youngster has been among the best performers in the Italian league. He was acquired by Napoli in July 2022 for just €8 million, and he immediately started to put up incredible numbers.

One of the main factors contributing to the Naples-based team’s 18-point lead at the top of the table is Kvaratskhelia, who has quickly established himself as a regular starter for the Serie A leaders.

The 22-year-old Napoli player has made 22 league appearances and has 11 goals and 9 assists. He has made six appearances in the UEFA Champions League, and in those six games, he has contributed two goals and four assists.

When Guti, a legend of Real Madrid, learned that his protege looked up to him earlier this month, he was taken aback. He stoked transfer rumours by promising to send Kvaratskhelia a special shirt if he signed with Real Madrid. However, a number of logistical challenges make his transfer impossible.

Kvaratskhelia initially occupies the same position as Vinicius Jr. The starting spot would therefore be in dispute upon his arrival because the Brazilian is one of the team’s top performers.

Additionally, Napoli has set a base price of €100 million for the forward and does not want to let him go. Such a high transfer fee would be impossible to match with Real Madrid planning to sign Jude Bellingham.
