Weston McKennie has been acquired by Leeds United from Juventus on a loan with a purchase option for a total of €36 million plus an additional €4.5 million in bonuses.
According to a statement from Juventus, the terms with Leeds are a six-month loan for €1.25 million plus bonuses worth up to €0.25 million. There is a purchase option available for €34.5 million, payable in five instalments, with the possibility of an additional €4.5 million in performance-related add-ons.
Before signing the contract, the American international who arrived yesterday underwent his medical examination.
He leaves Turin after 96 competitive appearances, in which he made 13 goals and contributed five assists, and was acquired from Schalke 04 for a total of €25m plus bonuses in 2020.
McKennie will play for Leeds under the number 28 jersey and could make his Premier League debut this Sunday against Nottingham Forest.
