It is believed that Inter paid a loan fee of €6 million to sign Frattesi, and as part of the deal, Nerazzurri striker Samuele Mulattieri has moved to Inter as a result.

According to reports, the obligation to buy clause in Frattesi’s contract is valued at €25 million, and Sassuolo has the potential to earn an additional €5 million through performance-related add-ons.

Frattesi was a product of the youth systems of Roma and Lazio before making the move to Sassuolo in a deal worth €5 million in the summer of 2017. The midfielder, who is now 23 years old, established a reputation as a scoring midfielder during loan stints with Empoli and Monza.

The Italian made his debut with the Sassuolo first team during 2021-22 season, during which he played in 36 Serie A matches for the Neroverdi and contributed to the scoring of four goals and the setting up of four more.

During the previous season, Frattesi maintained his upward trajectory by scoring seven goals in a total of 36 Serie A matches. This brought his overall tally for Sassuolo to 11 goals and four assists in 76 matches across all competitions.
