After a rapid progression of talks, it is being reported that Atalanta and Milan have reached an agreement on all terms to sign Charles De Ketelaere from Milan on a paid loan with an option to buy.

Even though they didn’t get serious about negotiating until early this afternoon, both clubs were able to reach a consensus on the terms of the deal by the evening.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Atalanta and Milan have reached an agreement regarding a paid loan for a season with an option to buy the player. However there is no agreement with the player yet.

During the time period of the loan, La Dea will also pay the majority of his salary.

De Ketelaere could have played for a number of other teams, such as Real Sociedad, Aston Villa, or PSV Eindhoven, but he chose to focus on making a name for himself in Serie A instead.

Following the massive €35 million transfer from Club Brugge the previous summer, the player had a deeply disappointing debut season in which he did not score a single goal and missed several significant opportunities.

During his time on loan, De Ketelaere and Milan are both holding out hope that he will regain some of his form and confidence.
