On Friday, Colombian striker Duvan Zapata made the transfer from Atalanta to Torino on a loan contract with the Granata that includes a buyout possibility based on the number of goals he achieves while playing for the club.

The Bergamo club hailed the 32-year-old Zapata for the dedication he has always shown to Atalanta’s colors in scoring a record 82 goals over the course of 191 matches in five seasons, and for equaling Cristiano Doni’s Serie A record total of 69 goals scored.

In 2018, the center forward who previously played for Udinese and Napoli moved from Sampdoria to join Atalanta.

He has played for his country 34 times and scored four goals for Colombia.
