Juventus 3-3 Atalanta: Bianconeri Managed to draw the battle after FIGC setback

In Serie A on Sunday, Juventus overcame its off-the-field issues to salvage a 3-3 draw with Atalanta.

Massimiliano Allegri’s Juventus was playing for the first time since being docked 15 points by an FIGC investigation into the club’s transfer dealings on Friday, stranding the former third-placed team in the middle of the table.

With 13 goals scored in their last two games across all competitions, Atalanta came out strong to start the game and put the Juventus defense to the test.

Ademola Lookman, a forward for Atalanta, was able to make it to the edge of the box before shooting from an acute angle and beating Juventus goalkeeper Szczesny to give his team the lead after five minutes.

After Ederson fouled Nicolo Fagioli, the hosts were awarded a penalty, which Angel Di Maria converted to tie the score in the 25th minute. With a volley from inside the box after Fagioli’s cross, Arkadiusz Milik finished the comeback less than 10 minutes later.

Eight minutes into the second half, Atalanta regained the lead. Joakim Maehle equalized 35 seconds into the second half before Lookman headed in his second goal of the game in the 53rd. With a perfectly placed low free kick in the 65th minute, Danilo brought Juventus even.
