Monza Vs Juventus : Match preview and possible lineups

Last Updated on 16/09/2022 by

The bottom-of-the-table Monza will host Juventus this weekend in an attempt to earn their first Serie A victory ever.

Juventus will have many injury issues to deal with this weekend, along with two suspended players, so Monza may have a chance to shock their own supporters.

Only once have these two teams faced off, in a preseason friendly in 2021 that Juve won by a score of 2-1. As over 2.5 goals have been scored in each of Juve’s last three league and cup games, as well as four of Monza’s last six league games, we anticipate at least three goals to be scored in Sunday’s match.

Last weekend, Monza traveled to Lecce, another newly promoted team, in the hopes of returning with their first victory of the year. Sensi gave Monza the lead in the 35th minute, but Monza was unable to hold onto their lead, and Lecce equalized early in the second 45. Even though Monza’s performance resulted in a draw, their first league victory in the top division has yet to materialize.

In their most recent league match, Juventus had the home advantage against Salernitana, but a sluggish start to the game allowed their opponents to take the lead. In the 18th minute, Candreva gave Salernitana the lead, and in the final seconds of the first half, Piatek scored a penalty to make it 2-0. Bremer’s goal came just six minutes after the halftime break, giving Juve the quick response they needed. When it appeared that there was no more time for Juve to score an equalizer, Bonucci scored in the 93rd minute to save a point for the home team.

Possible Lineup for Monza – Di Gregorio, Marí, Izzo, Marlon, Birindelli, Augusto, Sensi, Matteo Pessina, Rovella, Caprari & Mota

Possible Lineup for Juventus – Perin, Bonucci, De Sciglio, Bremer, Danilo, Kostić, Paredes, McKennie, Miretti, Kean & Dusan Vlahović
