Aaron Ramsey, a midfielder for Juventus, has joined French Ligue 1 team Nice, the club announced on Monday. Ramsey, 31, left Juventus last week with one year remaining on his Juventus contract.
After nearly eight years at Arsenal, Ramsey joined Juve in 2019 as a free agent. In his first season in Turin, Ramsey won the Serie A championship.
He spent five months of last season on loan at Rangers before helping his nation qualify for the World Cup with a play-off victory over Ukraine.
Ramsey has reportedly agreed to a one-year contract with Nice, according to a number of sources. After bringing in French midfielder Alexis from Lokomotiv Moscow, Polish goalkeeper Marcin Bulka, who was already on loan from Paris Saint-Germain, and attacking midfielder Rares Ilie from Rapid Bucharest, he is the South Coast club’s fourth summer signing.
