Reijnders joins Milan on 5-year deal

Tijjani Reijnders has officially joined Milan after making the move from AZ Alkmaar, according to the club’s announcement regarding the player’s arrival.

After completing the purchase of Ruben Loftus-Cheek from Chelsea and selling Sandro Tonali, the Rossoneri have been actively working to strengthen their midfield this summer. Reijnders has quickly emerged as another key target for the club.

The 24-year-old player is joining the club in a transaction that is rumored to be worth approximately €20 million plus add-ons, and he has signed a five-year contract with the organization that is reportedly worth approximately €1.7 million net per season.

Since it was announced today that Reijnders has now officially signed with Milan, it is now possible for him to begin pre-season training with Stefano Pioli and the rest of his new teammates. He will be seen in public wearing shirt number 14.

The Dutch midfielder had an outstanding year for AZ, finishing with seven goals and 12 assists across 54 games in all competitions. As a central midfielder, he has been lauded for his prowess in terms of both technique and creativity, in addition to his ability to advance the play.

Following Christian Pulisic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Luka Romero, and Marco Sportiello, Reijnders is Milan’s fifth signing of the summer transfer window. Reijnders joins the likes of Luka Romero and Marco Sportiello.
