Matias Vina, a left-back for Roma, has been officially loaned to Bournemouth with the option to purchase him for a reported €15 million at the end of the current campaign.
The official statement was released by Roma this evening after a deal had already been reached earlier this afternoon. Italian news sources state that the loan will cost €750,000 for a six-month period, and the option to purchase is set at €15 million.
The 25-year-old Uruguayan international was acquired from Palmeiras for €13 million in the summer of 2021, plus a portion of the sell-on fee.
Under Jose Mourinho, he had significantly slipped down the pecking order this season, making only seven appearances across all competitions.
With two assists and no goals, he now had played in 44 games while wearing the Giallorossi jersey. Vina has 28 senior appearances for Uruguay and was a member of the Giallorossi team that captured the Europa Conference League championship the previous year.
