Roma 2-0 Fiorentina: 10 man La viola beaten by stunning Dybala brace

Roma won thanks to two goals from Paulo Dybala and two assists from Tammy Abraham, but Fiorentina was reduced to 10 men for more than an hour following Dodo’s dismissal.

Both of Paulo Dybala’s goals in Rome came off assists from Tammy Abraham. DodΓ΄ was dismissed from the game in the 24th minute after receiving a second yellow card, forcing Fiorentina to play the majority of the game with 10 men.

Five minutes before halftime, Abraham intercepted a ball over the top for Dybala’s stunning volley, and Roma finally made their numerical advantage count. Eight minutes from the end, the two came together once more when Abraham sprinted into the right side of the box and rolled across for Dybala to score.

Since joining the team from Juventus on a free transfer this summer, Dybala has scored seven goals in 12 league games.

The 29-year-old was additionally a member of Argentina’s World Cup-winning team in Qatar, coming back from a hamstring injury to make brief cameos in both the semifinal and championship game.

With the victory, Jose Mourinho’s team extended their Serie A winning streak to five games. Their most recent Serie A defeat came at the hands of rivals Lazio in early November.
