According to Fabrizio Romano, the transfer of Samuel Chukwueze from Villarreal to Milan has already been finalized, and the only issues that remain are administrative ones that should be resolved within the next few hours.

Chukwueze and both clubs have reached an agreement on all terms pertaining to the transfer, so it can be considered finished.

It was anticipated that the remaining issues would be resolved and contracts would be traded today, and it appears that this will still happen according to the plan.

The most recent information available as of this evening suggests that the only things that are still outstanding are routine administrative issues.

Because the 24-year-old player is a Nigerian international and does not have a passport from an EU country, the transfer is made somewhat more difficult by the bureaucratic requirements that must be met.

It was expected that his contract with Villarreal would expire at the end of the current season. It is believed that the deal has been completed for €20 million plus another €8 million in various performance-related bonuses.

The newest member of Milan’s attacking trio, which also includes Christian Pulisic and Noah Okafor, Chukwueze is about to finalize a contract committing him to the club for the next five years.
