Daniel Maldini has officially completed his loan move to Spezia for one season, making him the first member of the Maldini family to play for a club other than Milan in Serie A.
The Rossoneri confirmed it is a dry loan, which means it will only last one season with no option to buy.
The 20-year-old creative midfielder is Paolo Maldini’s son and the grandson of Milan legend Cesare Maldini.
He becomes the Maldini family’s first player to play for a club other than the Diavolo in Serie A.
Daniel also has a brother, Christian, who plays in Serie C with Pro Sesto but has never played in the top flight.
Cesare spent time in Serie B with Foggia, Ternana, and Parma.
Daniel Maldini has appeared in 15 Serie A games so far, scoring one goal against his new club Spezia in September 2021.
