According to several sources this afternoon, AC Milan has officially signed Devis Vasquez, a goalkeeper from Colombia.

While Ciprian Tatarusanu has stepped in to fill in, concerns have been raised about whether or not he is a long-term solution given that there are still concerns about his capacity to perform that backup role effectively and the fact that his current contract expires in June.

AC Milan have Signed Vasquez

Antonio Mirante’s contract will also expire in June, so Milan will need to strengthen our options in that area. If it were a long-term solution, it would undoubtedly be a welcome addition.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Rossoneri and Guarani have reached an agreement for Vasquez to join us on a permanent basis. Marco Sportiello is also anticipated to be signed in the summer as a more seasoned option to take Tatarusanu’s place.

The 24-year-old will undoubtedly view his move to Europe as a significant milestone for himself, and it will be interesting to see what the Milan management saw in him to believe that he can contribute significantly to our team’s future success.
