After losing an important derby, Milan came back to winning ways by defeating Torino 1-0 at San Siro.

Ibrahimovic has recovered from an ACL injury to rejoin the Milan squad, but Bennacer, Tomori, and Maignan were still out injured. Sanabria steps in for Torino’s Pietro Pellegri, who was unable to compete against his former team due to a thigh injury. Ivan Juric was still without Zima, Lazaro, and Ricci.

Leao arrived in danger at the 7th minute, but Djidji was there to stop him from attempting a goal-scoring attempt. Leao, had been one of the most liveliest player for the home team on the field, but he had not yet opened up a space for a shot. The home team is having a difficult time because Torino has a lot of bodies behind the ball.

After waiting for ten minutes, Torino finally managed to get off a shot at goal, but Miranchuk misfired his attempt over the crossbar.

At the 19th minute mark, Torino was getting closer to taking the lead when Sanabria’s most recent effort from the edge of the box narrowly missed the far post.

Sanabria was stopped by Tatarusanu, who dove to his right to stop him. The Milan goalkeeper was unaware that the flag had been raised due to a foul in the setup.

At the 54th minute, Milan had its best chance to score, but the hosts fared much better. Leao had a shot on goal after a quick counterattack led by Giroud and Leao was blocked by Torino goalkeeper Milinkovic-Savic, who eventually stopped the ball with his thigh.

Giroud was inches away from scoring when Milinkovic-Savic stopped him. The Torino goalkeeper stopped the striker’s shot, but the ball instead rolled underneath his body and towards the goal. Milinkovic-Savic did enough to put his body behind ball and hold the hosts at bay, with Milan players following up in support.

Giroud gives the home team their first lead, giving them cause to celebrate. The Frenchman scored from inside the penalty area, doing what he does best. He beat Milinkovic-Savic with the force of his header thanks to the precise cross he received from Theo Hernandez.

Torino attempted to score from a corner, but Tonali’s header went the wrong way, almost leading to an own goal. For Milan’s benefit, the ball deflected off the post and behind for a goal kick.

Hernandez blew a wonderful opportunity to increase his team’s lead to 2-0 and secure the points for Milan. On the counterattack, the left back found himself in the box, but instead of tapping the ball home from the edge of the box, he dragged his shot wide.
