With his left foot, Brozovic cut in and made a low shot. In order to parry the ball away, Provedel squatted low to his right. He was then summoned back into action to stop Dimarco on the rebound.

Immobile was well-positioned to take advantage of Anderson’s short cross to him, and he struck a half-volley at the near post that Onana deflected over the crossbar. Lazio were disallowed the corner after Immobile had been called for offside.

In an effort to keep the ball, Zaccagni decided to take on D’Ambrosio and outran the Inter captain. However, Darmian quickly recovered and was able to win a free kick on the edge of his own box. Barella chested down a promising cross from Dimarco to Lukaku, but Alberto dived to win the ball back, and Mkhitaryan gave up a free kick.

Inter displayed good link-up play as a series of flicks enabled Barella to set up D’Ambrosio. Everyone missed his cross into the middle, which fell to Brozovic, who attempted to find D’Ambrosio with a through pass inside the box but the defender was unable to control it.

Onana, the custodian, made a precise kick that found Barella running down the right-hand side. Mkhitaryan’s first-time finish went directly into Provedel’s gloves after he cut in and squared for him on the edge of the penalty area.

Cutting off a Lazio attack, D’Ambrosio moved up the pitch and found Brozovic to his support. Correa cut the ball back for Mkhitaryan to score. The players wheeled off to celebrate, but as the game was about to resume, a linesman’s flag was raised, and the goal was ruled off due to offside.

In the 30th minute, Lazio punished Inter. After Acerbi was taken away by Anderson, the Biancocelesti received a sudden boost. On the edge of the box, he exchanged passes with Alberto before slamming a low shot past Onana into the bottom corner. Within minutes of Inter’s denial at one end, Lazio scored on the other side to take a 1-0 lead.

Mkhitaryan, who was on the edge of the box when Lukaku’s pass found him, then managed to play a one-two with Barella. After receiving the pass back, the Armenian ended up going for goal and fired a first-time shot that brushed the crossbar as it flew over.

Darmian ran after Brozovic’s long cross-field pass, but nobody was there for his ball across the goal face. Lazio cleared the ball, but Inter came back after Lukaku set Barella up. Barella hit a beautiful half-volley that just narrowly missed the bottom corner.

Lazio came incredibly close to scoring twice. Once more, Acerbi lost possession of the ball, and Immobile sprinted to gain possession of it. Onana brilliantly parried Immobile’s low shot towards the far corner. The ball deflected and bounced over the crossbar as Anderson approached to tap in the rebound. Romagnoli was in the middle of the box when Alberto’s corner from the right was delivered, but Onana held the ball at close range because Romagnoli couldn’t make a good enough connection with his header.

As Mkhitaryan pressed hard to retrieve the ball high up the pitch, Dimarco managed to play in Correa down the left . He had many targets in the box to choose from, but he woefully mishandled his left-footed cross and was only able to send the ball over the back of the net.

After Alberto managed to play a one-two from corner, Dumfries headed clear his subsequent cross. But Lazio came back, and Anderson passed the ball to Alberto, who shot goalward, but Onana deflected the ball.

Two Lazio players quickly shut down Bastoni, who was then swiftly taken out of the game by Milinkovic-Savic. Bastoni was given a yellow card for the foul, pulled Anderson back as he raced off with the ball.

In the 77th minute, Inter managed to tie the score. Lukaku continued his excellent hold-up game and turned on the outside of the box after Gosens slid in to bring the ball forward towards him. Martinez received it after he slipped it to him, and he slid in to smash the ball past Provedel into the goal.

Inter changed the situation. As Lukaku have had ball on the outside of the box. Instead of shooting despite being prodded to do so, he drifted the ball to the back post where Gosens showed up very late and leaped to volley the ball into the goal. Inter now lead by 2-1. Gosens was hurt while attempting to score that goal.

Martinez completed Inter’s comeback. Vecino aimed his back pass at no one in particular, and Martinez eagerly grabbed the errant ball. Provedel blocked the Argentine’s initial shot as he charged towards the goal, but the ball rebounded back into his path, where Martinez slid it into the open goal. Inter won the game 3-1, and the Nerazzurri took the victory after finishing an incredible late comeback.
