Victor Osimhen considers legal action against Napoli for mocking TikTok video

Because of a strange video that was uploaded to Napoli’s TikTok account, Victor Osimhen is contemplating taking legal action against the company.

On Tuesday, the striker who was responsible for Napoli winning their first league title in almost 30 years during the previous campaign was the subject of a video in which he was made fun of by his own team on social media.

The video for Napoli focused on Osimhen’s missed penalty kick during their match against Bologna on Sunday, which ended in a scoreless tie.

Although it was a rare miss for the Nigerian, who has scored 62 goals in 107 games for the Serie A club, the video appeared to mock him for his attempts to urge for the penalty to be given. Despite this, he has scored 62 goals in 107 outings.

In the video, the player, who is 24 years old, can be heard pleading for a penalty while speaking in an odd, sped-up voice. The caption above the video reads, “Gimme penalty please,” and it shows him missing the goal from the penalty spot.

Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda, has hinted that his client may be contemplating taking legal action against his club in relation to the video that has since been removed.

There has been no acknowledgement from Napoli on the video that was removed from their TikTok account.

It appeared as though there was friction between Osimhen and Rudi Garcia, as the striker was seen berating his new boss after being taken out of the game late in the second half as the team searched for a winning goal.

After the game, it was revealed that Osimhen had extended an apology to Garcia and the rest of his Napoli teammates for the manner in which he expressed his displeasure at having to leave the field of play.
